Proximity Training

Private sessions:

Private sessions are for anyone with musculoskeletal problems (shoulder, knee, back pain...), metabolic and/or cardiac problems, such as diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure or any other health problem. These sessions are also ideal for people lacking in motivation or who simply wish to return to an active life style, in a safe manner, with customized guidance from a kinesiologist.



Semi-private sessions:

Semi-private sessions are for the same clients as the private sessions. A certain level of autonomy is required. The sessions are for four people per hour, and are supervised by a kinesiologist.



Health Improvement Program

This program is for anyone who wants to improve his/her physical abilities and optimize the achievement of physical health goals. It is also appropriate for anyone with a controlled health problem (blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, joint or muscle pain, etc.). The Health Improvement Program includes a health assessment and provides a customized training program. In addition, membership provides time in private sessions with a kinesiologist. This time can be used to modify the training program, assess your health, get answers to your questions, follow-up on your weight, solve musculoskeletal problems, etc.



Regular Program
Membership in the Regular Program includes a health assessment and access to the fitness room. There are no private sessions to develop and demonstrate a program. This program is appropriate for people without health problems who are autonomous in a physical fitness room.

Private sessions can be purchased separately.

Seniors’ Health Program (SHP)

This program’s objective is the improvement of the participants’ functional abilities. Over the weeks, participants will work on their mobility, balance, cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and, of course, their flexibility, through customized exercises. The twice-weekly sessions, which last 75 minutes, also address reducing the risk of injuries and is for appropriate for retirees who have no major health problems.
An assessment is a prerequisite for registration.



Group Health Program (GHP)

This program’s objective is to provide complete physical training through a variety of exercises, with various weekly themes*. Training includes a number of muscle and flexibility exercises, all while working out the cardiovascular system. The stimulating environment provided by this type of course allows participants to use a variety of equipment, such as dumbbells, body bars, stability balls, steps, and so much more. The intensity in these 75 minute sessions varies from moderate to high. During these twice-weekly sessions, participants will be immersed in a pleasant and motivating group atmosphere, with background music.
An assessment is a prerequisite for registration.

*The following are various themes that will be covered during the sessions:

25-25-25:

A balanced formula with 25 minutes of cardiovascular activity, 25 minutes of muscle strengthening training and 25 minutes of abdominals and stretching.


MILITARY CARDIO:

This course is the perfect mix of cardiovascular and muscle exercises. It ensures that calories are metabolized into STRENGTH! Intervals, circuits and intensity are synonymous with this type of course, which is appropriate for people who want to test their limits.


CARDIO MAX:

Dominate your Spinning bike, because in this course we maximize cardiovascular endurance. Through the use of Spinning bikes, steps and other equipment, you will challenge your cardiac muscles.


CIRCUIT TRAINING:

Tone your upper and lower limbs by doing this quick and efficient workout. With a minimum of rest between two exercises, Circuit Training combines endurance and cardiovascular training.


SUFII:

Based on the intensive California CrossFit training, SUFit allows participants to complete high intensity exercises one after the other, without an established rest period. The combination of exercises in this type of course makes use of the body’s weight, free weights, bars, etc.


BALL TRAINING:

Muscle strengthening and toning exercises using Swiss balls. Of moderate intensity, this type of course is appropriate for beginners as well as the more experienced, because it focuses more on posture and the exercises’ technique.


AHTLETES’ CHALLENGE:

Small stations that link complex cardiovascular (running, jumps, biking) and muscle exercises, which require a good starting physical fitness.


TRX®:

This simple and effective suspension system is the main tool used in this course that allows you to work all your muscles. Some watchwords: Strengthen your muscles, slim your waistline and improve your posture.


TRI-SERIES CIRCUIT:

This course focuses on completing three consecutive exercises for one muscle, without a rest period. It’s a way to fully engage the most tenacious muscles. Cardiovascular endurance is also a part of this course.


TONING STEP:

A mix of cardiovascular and muscle training, this course, requiring a STEP, makes you tone your muscles. The course intensity varies according to the height of the step and the exercises’ techniques.

Aqua Health Program

The Aqua Health Program is a 45 minute aqua fitness course, over 4 or 12 months. It includes low or moderate intensity aerobic exercises.
The program is offered at our Aylmer branch.
